A question I recall being asked regarding Manichaeism was “How do we know the realm of light will overcome dark if they are equal in power?” While they are indeed equal, we know that light will prevail. Darkness has been maimed by the forces of light. With the sacrifice of the Primal Man, light was thus trapped and intermingled with dark, this was a necessary sacrifice as this maimed the power of the dark. No longer could dark attack the Gardens of light, nay, rather we have the ongoing “war” here between light and dark. Light within our bodies, our souls, actively working to assist us in achieving our liberation and return to our home with the Father.
